Music has always been a part of my life. I first began taking music classes as a teen when I was accepted into an Arts based Magnet School. I studied Classical Voice, and Musical Theater. I went into college as a music major (B.A. Music Composition, Auburn University) and continued to study voice and composition.
I decided to go into teaching elementary a couple of years ago, and have found great pleasure in it. I learned so much in the elementary school system and I started to apply it to teaching music.
I continue to songwrite, compose and perform under the music project nerdkween. I am eager to inspire people to create for themselves.
